The first round of the NFL Draft hasn't always been kind to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the team's full picks history shows things may be changing soon.

History of Jacksonville Jaguars First-Round NFL Draft Picks All Time

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t been as accustomed to success with first-round picks as other teams in the NFL Draft. But as we get further into the 21st century, things may be starting to turn around for one of the NFL’s youngest franchises. Here’s a look at the Jaguars’ full history of selections in Round 1.

Jacksonville Jaguars First-Round Draft Picks Throughout History

One reason the Jaguars’ draft gaffes of the early 21st century are so heavily publicized? Jacksonville has never traded out of Round 1 and has been represented in the first round for every cycle since the team’s introduction in 1995. The Jaguars kicked off their draft history with a bang, selecting Hall of Fame offensive tackle Tony Boselli. Since then, however, it’s been very up and down.

Nevertheless, the Jaguars have had several stellar first-round picks in the mix, among them Kevin Hardy, Fred Taylor, Marcus Stroud, John Henderson, Marcedes Lewis, and potential future Hall of Famer Jalen Ramsey. Additionally, there’s newfound excitement for quarterback Trevor Lawrence after his breakout 2022 campaign.
